Sorry for my delay in answering your comments... I STILL DON'T HAVE INTERNET AT HOME!!! Glad you liked "Another Love Kit" Alpha, its just a standard MS font, called IMPRINT MT SHADOW - so you should all have it on your systems. (I just made it prettier!)I'd also like to shout out THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!! For all your beautiful comments, and sympathises on the house move!!! We're all in, (sort of, coz we're moving across the road to our house thats currently being built, in 6 months!) so we haven't unpacked everything, coz that would just be dumb! But it has been a very exciting week, our foundations were poured today! WooHoo! And our shed (that has been one huge loooonnnnng saga) will finally be delivered tomorrow... fingers crossed! Getting back to the internet... I hope to get a wireless stick in the next week or so, and things will be "normal" again!!! Because we're in the country now... we can't get normal service! There has been an upside to no internet... (bet you didn't think there was one?!) I've had nothing better to do, than make more kits! SO... I made 3 in the last week!!! :0) All for you, of course!!!NOTE: BIG LONG STORY BEFORE YOU GET YOUR FREEBIE... it's ok... I don't mind if you skip it, to get to the freebie!!!Hi ya! Today, I'm giving you SWEET BAKERY! Ages ago, a reader suggested a "cupcake" kit. I made one, but didn't like it - so I ditched that, and after some thought, I come up with this one! It's one of my most recent kits, but wanted to release it this week, to celebrate our "family day" with our youngest daughter. She joined our family on 12th Feb 2009, after a 4 year wait to adopt her from China. She is truly the "icing on our family cake"!! She continues to amaze, delight & entertain our family every day!
The 12th of Feb 2009, is still a very vivid memory in my mind. And still brings tears to my eyes... even more now, than shortly after the event. To see how Tari has blossomed and to see her personality evolve, makes us realise, just how small and scared she was that first day. On the day, we were absolutely amazed, that there was no screaming, very few tears, and we even saw her smile a couple of times. That is so rare, for "first day" experiences of newly adopted children. We now know, that our precious daughter, was trying ever so hard to be brave, although she was utterly terrified, of us - strange speaking, strange smelling, strange looking people, taken from all she'd ever known. On the other hand, it is now evident, that even at the very young age of 16 months, she'd already discovered, that she should just go to anyone and everyone, (even strangers like us) - because her carers had come and gone, and she may or may not have her needs met. So why trust or invest in any one person? We know this, now, because she's been with us for a year. And only recently, has she cried if she hurts herself, or cries at night, or cries if I leave to go somewhere - because she's learned, that tears express hurt, or need - and those cries have been met, with concern & attention. Its taken a year, to trust. And I'm sure she's not given us 100%. She's kept a little bit in reserve, just in case.
Incredibly sad, isn't it? Yet she is simply amazing. I don't know how else to describe her. She makes us laugh, she mimicks us constantly, she sings, she absolutely adores her older siblings (and they love her!). As we love her, and meet her needs, she is slowly being "watered" and the very seed of who she is, blossoms into an incredible little girl, that we are ever so blessed to call our daugher & sister.
And here is Sweet Bakery - a celebration of the sweetness that is "Tari Mei".

My layout, celebrating one year, as a family of five. (the first photo in my layout, is the very first moment, we first saw Tari... its so blurry, coz I was shaking so much!!! the second photo, is just moments after I held her... I think I look kinda "over the moon"?!!! and the last photo is Tari today... cheeky monkey that she is!)
Oh! I forgot, I need to explain - I've made cupcakes, but added in a seperate "choc muffin top" and "vanilla muffin top" - so if you don't like what flavour I made the cupcake, you can just place the muffin top over the top! I've also made lots of sprinkles and decorations, so you can build your own cupcake! I've also made a couple of "ribbon wraps" to wrap around your cupcakes!
Enjoy your baking!
