Just sharin'...

We finally got Tari's name change certificate in the post today!

Its official....

Of course, it goes without saying... a momentous occassion can not pass, without me scrapping it! (or blogging it?!!) I used Sara's Bird Song kit, for the bargain basement price of only $2! Sara has lots of bargain kits out at the moment - I snagged her Space kit, last week - got my eye on a couple of others too!!! BOHEMIA is my FAVOURITE kit, and it's only $1... YOU MUST GET IT! I also grabbed one of Mel's kits - Calypso, when it was on sale - and I got one of Stacey's - Mr Roboto was out for only $1 (for a brand new release?!! BARGAIN!) Vicki has a 2 kit "teenage" bundle for those grungey layouts for only $3... FOR TWO KITS?!!! WooHoo!! So what are you waiting for? Scrap That Idea?!!!

RebeccaBs Pure Serenity

I've had such a huge weekend, only had a couple of minutes in front of the computer... DOH! (so sad... that a great weekend for me, is sitting in front of my laptop, scrapbooking?!!)

OK... now on to why I actually posted this post! REBECCAB has a GORGEOUS kit out, called Pure Serenity (yes, I mentioned it in the last post... but I REALLY REALLY like this kit! :) I'm such a sucker for polka dots - AND it's black and pink... are there any better colours than that?!!!


I made a couple of layouts... but I should really be cleaning my house... SO here they are... and I'm off to clean a bathroom or two! ;( Spare a thought for poor me! I'd FAR RATHER BE SCRAPPIN!

MELODY freebie kit

I've had this one waiting to present for a while now (I try to publish my kits, in order that I make them!) I used this one, to make my header - I guess music just excites me?!!! I do know how to play the piano, and used to play in a band (seems like a thousand years ago!)... sadly, I haven't touched the piano for about five years!!! My oldest daughter started lessons, last year - so at least someone is using it!!!

Anyway - enough chit chat - here's the kit!

I think this "treble clef" paper is my favourite! Is it bad, to give myself a pat on the back?!!! LOL!!! My hubs always says "Self Praise is better than none!!!"

The photo quality, in this last layout, is atrocious, the lighting in the room was terrible! BUT its a truly significant photo... so just had to be used with my MELODY kit! You are awesome, baby!

I just have to say, I'm absolutely loving the black, white & lime. Sara (from Sweet Blossom Design, at Scrap That Idea) made an awesome kit called "Its a Kinda Magic", I was very priviliged to get that kit for free, when Sara chose me, as her Guest CT - that kit is still one of my favourite kits ever.... it's black, white & lime!!! LOVE IT!

New layouts

I splurged and bought the newest collab, by the four designers, at Scrap That Idea - called "A Perfect Day". Its a gorgeous light and sunny feeling colour palette. I also downloaded Vicki & Stacey's latest collab called "Doodlebug"... so here are my efforts

And these next three are using "A Perfect Day" - the whole collab is available for $5, at Scrap That Idea, or you can buy individual designers parts for $1 each. I bought the whole lot! I'm very into lime green at the moment... very strange, coz normally I wouldn't like the colour... but in scrapbooking - its hot! And I've always loved that wedgewood pale blue colour. Its one of those "forever" colours... it will never get old!

I entered this next page, in Cheryl's Recipe Challenge, for last week. The challenge was to have lots of "white space" (not literally white... just blank space!)... although I opted for WHITE space!!! LOL!!! I really like the "simplicity" of the challenge. All the entries looked really good! I have trouble leaving "white" space... as most of the kits that I get, have such great papers & elements... I feel the urge to use them all!!! :) (I'm sure you've never noticed?!!)

Also, you MUST head over to RebeccaB's blog and snaggle her newest kit "Love Bites" - its a kit with some serious attitude! Red n black is the colour palette - I reckon it rocks!!! Rebecca also put out a mini kit called "Midnight Delicacy" last week... that between chucks, I forgot to mention! Sorry Rebecca!!! Anyway, get over there now, and download your freebies!
