Mel has a gorgeous freebie kit out, for limited time, called Scrap Happy - it's gorgeous! Go get it now!!! AND she's got 50% off everything in her store - see her blog for discount coupon code! PLUS if you leave a comment on her blog, before 23 June... you COULD be the winner of a store voucher! :)

I made this LO with ScrapHappy! I haven't got the alpha yet, so used "thinking of you" and "Rebekah's birthday" fonts, both from kevinandamanda.

:) Love it! I'm a bit biased though, coz I reckon our daughter is SO DARN CUTE!!! :)

And I whipped this one up, with my latest freebie Chic Chick (2 posts below!) This is my niece, she's very much a "girly girl" so all the pink & lace, is very "her"!

New LOs

Well, I'm getting a little frustrated, trying my hand at this "design" thing... so I'm taking a break and going back to what I love... LAYOUTS! I downloaded of heap of freebies over a week ago, and haven't even tried them out! Here's a few I prepared earlier!

I used "Starry Night" by Always Be Neighbours

I used Out & About collab by Mel & Vicki for this (lovin' the colours in this kit!), for the next 3This is such a pretty kit - Pour Le Plaisir by Yelims And this one is Stacey's offering from this week, Sleep Tight

I used Garden of Love (tagger size kit) by Bits n Bobs - its a bit "busy"... but I really like these colours, and the elements in this kit are SO DARN CUTE!

Sleeping seems to be the theme of the week... wish someone would tell #3 that!

Had to share

I made this page, this morning... I know I'm biased but goodness gracious! She is a cutie, yes?! Just warms the cockles of my heart that she's been home four months (well, nearly - on the 12th, it'll be 4 months, exactly!) I used Stacey's freebee from last week, "2 hearts".

And, I'm very excited to announce, I think we've finally picked a house plan! :) WOOHOO! Will be going to see the builder next week... let's get this party started!!! CAN'T WAIT TO GET INTO THAT KITCHEN!!! Standing at the sink - I'll be looking out to the rolling hills, and pastures! (the line across the back of the house, and going down to the right side, is all undercover entertaining area... SO GOOD!)

Cookie Cutter

Call me slow... but I've just discovered the "cookie cutter" in PSE! I had tried to use it before, but don't think I was using it correctly, so I didn't use it again!

So, I thought I'd give a quick "instructo" on the cookie cutter!
First PLACE the paper you want your shape to be.
Click on the cookie cutter button in your left side toolbar (I have PSE v6 - and its the 6th button down on the left, and looks like a star). Once you've clicked on it, another toolbar will appear at the top (like when you click on Text button)
Click on the drop down menu, to select your shape (I only just discovered, there is a tiny >> button next to it, to display all shapes!)
Select the shape you want.
On your paper, hold your left mouse button down, and drag, to make shape as large/small/short/tall as you like.
Click green tick, to set.

Click back onto "Move tool" (your arrow cursor, top left in your left toolbar) if you want to move it, or change its size etc.

Here's one a prepared earlier! (using circle cookie cutter) and Red Kitchen kit (freebie - see link in last post) Alpha, is from Hip Chick kit, by Stacey, available at Scrap that Idea.

And this one, I made this morning - with On the Farm, by A+ Designs (using cookie cutter to make butterflies). Blue Alpha, was a freebie (still available, in sidebar, at Dreamsfulfilled)

Oh yeah, I keep forgetting to post about free fonts. kevinandamanda have a miriad of free fonts. I was a bit confused at first, about how to "get them into my text list" - so here's how I did it. Probably the hard way, coz that's how I normally do things?!!

Download fonts (I always save everything to my desktop - just easier for me to find). Once downloaded, right click on each one, and click on "install". And thats it! They'll automatically install into your text lists on all programmes you use text. Easy-peasy!

A few LOs from today...

*yawn* Its 11pm, I've just finished my last LO... and now I have to reconcile my books!!! Geez, I wish I could prioritise better?!!!!

I've got so many new free kits, I didn't know which one to start with! I decided on the Daddy and Me Blog train kit! Ooo - its such a goodie, with so much to choose from... I can feel many more pages coming on?!

This page was made with A+ Designs kit called "On the Farm", and is a freebie from Enchanted Scrap Studios

Awww... are you a sucker for pastel? You'll love this simple but gorgeous kit, "Sweet Nature" Designs by Hannah (freebie) I don't read Spanish (?) but geez Ana does good work!

Lovin' the brights in this super cool kit, "Under the Rainbow" by Seachell (freebie). The Alpha is by Scraps of Ellay, "Childs Play". Available at Stuff to Scrap.

I found this freebie quickpage, whilst I was riding the "blog train"! I think its gorgeous! (my daughter ain't bad, either, is she?!!) The creator is Aimee, from Polkadot Scrapper

This next page was made using papers & elements from "My Favourite Guy" blog train - follow links from link to link to get all the parts!

And lastly, (I've saved my favourite for last!) is this totally drool worthy kit, by Bits n Bobs, called Garden of Life (freebie - she actually has a "sailboat" freebie up on the first post - scroll to next post for Garden Of Life). I absolutely LOVE this kit! Just look at the title of my blog, and you'll know I'm a bit of a sucker for the faithful LadyBug! This kit has a great paper with all over ladybug - I'm still trying to work out what special treat i can make with that one!! And, in China Adoption cirlces, the ladybug is known as a bit of a "lucky charm"! So, it made sense that my page features our very own, Sweet Little Bug. This photo gives me goosebumps - we'd only met our daughter, about 30 mins. prior to this photo being taken. Our sweet girl, was ever so brave.

Here are a few more freebie links! They are coming out of the woodwork today!!!

Becky Young Designs - RED KITCHEN KIT

Scrapping Sisters - CAUSE FOR CELEBRATION KIT

Piggy Scraps - FADED SUNSHINE QP (how cute is this blog?!)

Ok... I'm exhausted. Are there enough hours in the day to download all these kits etc AND scrap? I don't think so. Its now midnight... I still haven't done my bookwork.

Free Finds etc

My friend Delvene - is the freebie finding Queen!

Here's some links to some goodies:

Farm Kit by A+ Designs

Denim Page Kit by Rebeccas Scrapping Silliness

Dreamsfulfilled has Wild Side up now - but all kits in the right hand sidebar are still active downloads... there's dozens! Lots of Alpha too... I love alpha!

DADDY N ME BLOG TRAIN - OK, I saw the words "blog train" mentioned a few times, on my rounds, last week... well it appears to be the latest "trip" in Ultimate Freebee collabs! A whole list of groovy bloggers, are offering freebies. I started with Nicole, but Always be Neighbours is at the top of the list, so maybe start there?

I can't find any new challenges (although I haven't had alot of time to look too hard!) but don't forget that the girls at Scrapthatidea.com have challenges etc. To register to upload photos to the site or to have your own gallery file - go to "Scrap That Idea Gallery" - at the top of the page you'll see your menu's. Click on the little @ symbol - move your cursor along to Register. Once you've registered, you can add your LOs to your own gallery file, or to any of the challenges the designers have. Oh, and I just realised its the 1st of June, so digi chicks will be having the criteria for their monthly challenge any day now, too!

Hubs has been away, so I've been on a "scrapping rampage"! Trying to get in as much "indulgent free time" as possible! Here's just a few:
So I've been loving Sara's new Its a kind of magic kit!

This was a freebie ages ago, by Sara, called Happiness. You know, some kits, you just love. And even though you get new ones, you still have favourites! Well Happiness and Love Me Forever are two of my very favourite kits.

I bought this one recently from Enchanted Scraps Studio for only $1. Its called "Its a Boy Thing" by Caryn. The blue alpha was a freebie from Dreamsfulfilled

I think I'm biased... but geez, my girl's a gorgeous aren't they?!!! :) This one was made with Sara's "Bird Song" kit. I think its only $1 from Scrap That Idea? This one was made with the Vintage Memory kit, links about 3 posts below.I took this photo Easter, last Year, when we were in Geelong. Its Autumn in Australia at Easter time, so there were plenty of leaves to play in! I used Vicki's freebie kit, called Natural Beauty - better hurry, links will expire very soon! It should be available at Scrap That Idea for $1 though!

What elements can you use, if you've got a cloud background?!! The background & park bench, were from the Hope for a Cure freebie (links in a couple of posts below) - and I couldn't find any suitable elements in that kit, so I used these cool birds from Sara's new Magic kit.

The gorgeous lady, is my Grandma. God rest her soul. She passed away, on Dec 23 2008, just minutes before we saw our sweet daughter's face for the first time. What an emotional day that was!!!

Oh My Goodness!!!

Well, I got a very BIG surprise, when I was catching up on my blog reading last night! I almost puked when I saw this!

Yep, you read it. A designer actually thought my pages were worthy of a "Guest CT" spot!!! I still can't believe it! (I know, you'd think I'd just won a million dollars, hey?!) And as I'm a little thick, I wasn't sure what the deal was - do I make a page with one of Sara's kits, that I already have? NO! Sara gave me her new kit! WooHoo! (if you hadn't already guessed... I love freebies!)

The new kit is called "Some Kind Of Magic" and it'll be avaible at Scrap That Idea from Monday! I gave Sara 2 pages, I made Schzam first - wasn't totally convinced - so I made She's asleep. I think I prefer She's asleep. What do you reckon? Are they designer worthy?!!
