Birthdays

May is a killa month for our family, for birthdays and celebrations! (and coz we're a bit silly, we had #2 daughter's dedication in May too?!!!)

It's hub's Mum's birthday on the 22nd, my Mum's on the 23rd, hubs on the 29th and #1 daughter's birthday on the 30th. Hubs is actually in Bali to celebrate his birthday with a good friend, who's birthday is also the 29th, but she's 40! (yeah I know, he left us behind... before you get mad - it was my choice! the group will just want to party, and I won't be able to if we have kiddies with us - so it was easier to stay home!) Anyway, our gorgeous first born, had 2 girls over for a sleepover. So it was a nice quiet affair (til I gave them the "shoosh" at midnight!). I think I'll take the kids to see Night @ the Museum2 this arvo.

I used the "Hope for a Cure" freebie kit - see links in post below - for these 3 pages. Numbers are from Showers in Spring collab, this was Vicki's alpha set.

Alpha is "Pink Cookie", by Marie at free digiscrapbooking Yeah, I was experimenting with circles! I've gotta give Vicki the credit for the LO, nothing I did looking as effective... so I just pinched her idea!

And this one, well... is just coz I miss my beautiful sister-in-law. Rest in peace, sweetie - I miss you so much.

The poor pooches have been severely neglected of late... so here's a tasty one for them!

Using Mel's Miaaow freebie (link a couple of posts below). Don't get me wrong, I'm not a cat hater - I love cats... I wish I could say the same for hubs!

Vintage, Hope, Fresh, Puppies

Its great to get freebies - but its even greater if they've been made to support a cause!

HOPE FOR A CURE - is an enormous collab kit... and its all free! Follow the blog trail to get each piece of the kit. There are donation points on most of the blogs - so feel free to drop in a donation to help find a cure for breast cancer.

This VINTAGE kit, is a lovely "old time" kit, by Doris at Scraps Dimensions

This I LOVE MY PETS kit, was made for a Challenge, by 4heartdesign

This gorgeous bright kit, GET FRESH, was made by Sticky Kisses Designs (cool name!)

And finally, SWEET NATURE, is the last freebie link, and was made by Ana

I must give a HUGE shout-out to Delvene, who passed on all these links, last night! :) THANK YOU!!!

I made a couple of pages last night, but was lacking some inspiration... so I'm not that impressed with them!
This is our youngest daughter's dedication page - its a bit of a mish mash of kits - Papers were from George & The Dragon collab by Vicki & Loucee Creations. Elements were from Love Me Forever by Sweet Blossom Designs & the little dove was from 2by2 kit by Stacey

I liked the "idea" of this page - but its not executed properly - will think a bit more about this one, and come up with a better LO! I used Happiness kit, by Sweet Blossom Designs.
Keepin' it simple. Used Down by the Lilypond kit by Vicki

Now that I have all these new freekits - I'm off to see if my creative juices are flowing a little better today! HAPPY FRIDAY to ya!

Challenge Pages

I entered Stacey's challenge. I made four pages and couldn't decide which one I like best, so I put them all in!

I must admit, making multiple pages with the same template was...well, boring! I love the challenge of a blank page.... hmmm.... what can I make with this?!

Anyway, I just love digi-scrapbooking, and enjoy any excuse to put a page together! (I had to make 5 birthday cards last Sat - and I still haven't made one for hubs or No. 1 daughter!)

PS. just saw the kit is officially called "Miaaow"!

My oldest daughter

I've scanned a heap of photos from my oldest daughter's first photo albums, into my computer. My baby (sorry, oldest daughter!) is 12 on Saturday. TWELVE!

Here are some pages I made with the photos
This first one, is made using Plum Pudding - a freebie kit by Stacey, possibly still available at Scrap That Idea for $1?

The next two pages were made using Midsummer Night's Dream by Kim Cameron, available at Groovy Scraps
This next page was made using another freebie, by Digi-Designs by Nicole - possibly still available from her blog - click on Darling Buds of May, in her sidebar? And because I can't have a post without ALL my kiddies - here's my hunk of spunk son... I used the Numb3rs Kit, by Sara from Sweet Blossom Designs - still available at Scrap That Idea for $1

And here is our latest precious gift. We had a "Dedication" Service at Church for her, yesterday. So this is the Thank You, I sent to the 50 or so guests, we had come back to our place for lunch! Our little princess was well and truly overdue for a sleep, and wasn't too happy about being held on a stage, with about 500 people looking at her!!! She wiggled like crazy - so I think it's quite amazing that the photographer got any photos at all!!! I used Showers In Spring collab Kit, by Mel, Vicki and Stacey. I love that periwinkle blue!

I can't find too many freebies around the place at the moment, but a friend, sent me this LINK to a watermelon kit. Great looking kit! Ooo just found another one! VICKI has a freebie kit, called Natural Beauty, available now. I also read, that any "collab" kit that Vicki does, she keeps free, on her sidebar indefinitely - so Showers in Spring, should still be available, for her part!

Stacey has a new CHALLENGE - if you're up for it, and freebie add on to one of her kits!

I haven't had alot of spare time this week, with the Dedication, I've had my folks staying here for a week, from interstate - and I've just suddenly had the urge to look into a "beach Christmas" holiday, which we've NEVER done before! We always do the big family lunch, with lots of noise and running around... I'm suddenly longing for a nice quiet get-away, with just my hubs & kids! :) AND we're building a new house... so we've been running between builders to get the best deal!

FreeBEEs!

First up is a free-BEE kit, called Bee My Honey - you can get it here! Its only available as a freebie til the end of this month! So you better BEE quick! (note: black/white round alpha, not inc. in this kit) Here is my page with the freebie CHILDS PLAY kit, (link in post below) - lovin' the funky colours! (the alpha is part of this kit too! gotta love a kit with alphas included!)
My next two pages, I used this gorgeous bright "summery" kit, called SUMMER DAYS, by Sweet Blossom Designs - I thought it was available at Scrap That Idea... but its not! Its such a pity - its so "useable"!!!

In my last post, I mentioned Stacey's new freebie, 2 By 2 kit - I made the next three pages, using it - I haven't got the alpha yet so I'll give them a separate, special mention! In "Day of Promise" - I used a free font, from kevin&amanda (follow installation instructions on site) and the alpha set is from Its A Boy Thing Kit by Colour with Caryn - Available at Enchanted Studio Scraps.

Alpha is from Showers in Spring Collab Kit - was a freebie, this alpha was created by MEL.

Freebie alpha from ScrapWOW.com

Isn't 2 By 2 - such a GORGEOUS kit?!! I love the little lion & giraffe... so cute!

This next page is made with PRIMARY GRUNGE, by Vicki A Work In Progress, available at Scrap That Idea for only a buck!

A week or so ago, Nicole had SUMMER SUNRISE kit as a freebie - not sure if its still free? I'm not a big orange fan... but I ended up having a ball with this kit!

This page is made with CIRCLE OF LIFE - was a "Stacey Freebie", now available at Scrap That Idea for only $1 - i LOVE this kit! I've made about 10 pages with it (already!)

Lizards & Puppies!

This first page was made using SIMPLICITY kit, by Vicki from A Work in Progress - should be available soon at SCRAP THAT IDEA (I got it as a freebie from Vicki's blog!)
I couldn't find the Simplicity Alpha (I'm sure I downloaded it!) So I used the Make Believe Alpha, by scrappyweiss. (See more of the Make Believe kit, below.)

This kit was a collab kit, by Mel Haines, Color by Caryn & Scrappyweiss - called Make Believe. I think part of it, is still available from Color with Caryn - I got it as a freebie!

This is the Flower Child kit, by Stacey - Available NOW from Scrap that Idea - for only $1

This page was made using Puppydog Tails, by Kim Cameron - this was one of the first kits I ever bought - it's no longer available, but PUPPY LOVE is another of Kim's kits, still available at Groovy Scraps. I've bought heaps of Kim's kits. They are always very well priced, and just gorgeous! She's got lots on sale for $2, at groovyscraps.com

These next two are made using one of my favourite kits "Baby Lizard" collab by Project B & DooHickey Designs - you can purchase HERE Its a HUGE kit, with lots of papers, and cutsie elements!

STACEY has a new freebie kit, called 2by2 (Noah's Ark Theme) - its super cute! It'll be free for the next week - it'll be available at Scrap That Idea, afterward for $1.
SCRAPS OF ELLAY has a new bright freebie kit, called Childs Play - a thousand uses for this one!
DIGI-CHICKS is a great blog, run by a fellow Aussie Scrapper, Toni - she runs 2 challenges per month, and there are prizes to be won!

Happy Scrappy Day to ya!

In the beginning...

This is my blog dedicated to my digi-pages. This first post is a bit of an "archive" of my earlier pages. I've been digi-scrapbooking since Nov 2008, when I bought my first editing programme (Ph0t0sh0p Elements V6). If you'd like to know how and where to get started, feel free to email me, and I'll try and point you in the right direction! If not for the help of others, I wouldn't have had a clue where to start!

In my future posts, I will list who made the kit, and where I bought, or downloaded it from... but I won't do it on this post, as it'll take too darn long! I'll also list, my regular haunts for freebies! I hope you like my pages, I'm no pro, but I'm very passionate about my creations!
